“Enclosed Suites Revealed by Emirates”

Emirates will introduce enclosed suites measuring up to 40 square feet in their first-class cabin on reconfigured Boeing 777 planes. These suites were unveiled at the Dubai Air Show on Sunday and will be available for the first time on December 1st on flights from Dubai to Geneva and Brussels. Only six suites will be offered on the remodeled aircraft, arranged in a three-across layout. The middle suites will have virtual windows that project real-time outdoor views using cameras in place of actual windows.

In addition to the virtual windows, the suites will include a bed with a “zero gravity” position for a weightless sensation, floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, a video call function for communication with flight attendants, and a service window for uninterrupted service of drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

The introduction of these suites comes after Singapore Airlines’ announcement of new first-class suites on their Airbus A380 planes, which will measure 50 square feet. Emirates is also upgrading their business and economy classes as part of the 777 retrofit.
