International Space Station Leak Worsens, Raises Concerns for NASA
A NASA inspector general report has revealed that a leak on the International Space Station (ISS) has worsened, prompting concerns for the agency.
The leak, which was first detected in 2017, is thought to be caused by a faulty airlock seal. NASA has been monitoring the leak and has taken steps to mitigate the risk, including installing a new seal and increasing the frequency of leak checks.
However, the inspector general report found that the leak is still getting worse and that NASA considers it the highest-level risk to the ISS.
The report also found that NASA has not been adequately communicating the risks of the leak to astronauts and the public.
NASA has since said that it is taking the leak seriously and is working to address the issue.
